“Being in a podcast for me feels like I’m in an alternate timeline than the one I was in prior to meeting Cory on the street. Call it a meet cute or a canon event but if it weren’t for that fateful moment I wouldn’t be in the position I am. Having someone take a chance and believe in what I could do in a creative sense is truly a blessing.
I appreciate the patience Cory and Kimmy have with me regarding my social media awareness and know how I feel like the Unc of the team when it comes to trends and TikTok dances lol. Wrapping my head around the fact that I’m on a platform and speaking my mind on things I care about is something I thought was unattainable for me. I’ve gotten to meet and talk with people I never would have had it not been for this podcast. I’ve always been one to watch and listen to a podcast and YouTube videos but I never thought I’d be on the opposite end of the camera.
I’ve definitely grown as a content creator, from learning how to set up a stream to the basics of editing. Knowing how to talk and navigate a conversation while being in front of a camera certainly had its learning curve. I’m learning everyday what it takes to be a content creator and a podcaster. It’s not for the faint of heart and I’m happy to have someone as knowledgeable as Cory with me.
I’ve started doing my own livestreams and solo chapter reviews which is teaching me how to be more independent and showing me more of what I’m capable of and things I want to do or improve on.
I would like to see more reaction based content for us moving forward. I think we are all very loud and explosive and can bring a lot of comedy and commentary to an array of videos. I look forward to continuing to watch sailor moon and other Shojo material alongside Kimmy watching One Piece content to deepen our understanding of anime as a whole.”
