Who is Cory? (@TheRealCroc)

“It’s been 2 years now since we’ve first started the Moon Piece Podcast and 4 years since I put out my first YouTube video ever. And all of it came from a yearn to want to talk about the things I enjoy more with people who enjoy them too, all while realizing I am only getting older and I didn’t want to have any regrets! I spent years watching anime YouTube back when King of Lightning & Sawyer7mage was all we had reviewing Naruto chapters and have stayed a fan of watching the community grow and yearned to be a part of its legacy.

I look at back at the my first ever YouTube video and even our first podcast episode…and I cringe a lot inside🥲 because I can’t believe even one person found that slightly entertaining or of good quality. But what I’ve learned and realized is who I am today and what we put out today is only an improvement on what we were then, it doesn’t need to be perfect it just needs to be put out.

But what I realized after some time of creating content alone as well, was it still wasn’t as fun! I had lost my first channel as I was 100 hours from being monetized, I almost wanted to give up, but in the most corniest sense getting into One Piece 4 years prior really did teach me to not give up on that dream, and that I did not have to do it alone! I knew I needed a crew to help get me over the hump to grow more and teach me more!

I blindly sent the longest text messages to 2 people who I barely even knew, but I followed my gut and trusted my heart on their vibes and tried to send the most professional message I could to convince them to trust in my idea.

I truly couldn’t thank Kimmy and Danny more for taking that leap of faith in me, allowing me to lead us all while knowing I still don’t exactly know what I’m doing, for challenging my ideas and how I go about things, for teaching me how to properly communicate, plan and compromise. Because I keep throwing more ideas on their plate when it comes to asking them to become streamers now 🤣 What started as 3 strangers sitting in front a camera trying to do an “Anime Protagonist Tournament Arc” has now turned into an LLC. in just 2 years and I gained a sister and brother”
